Student Store

Our student store carries an array of makeup products, brushes & tools, airbrushing machines, accessories, makeup cases, and books. Students receive a discount on makeup products & brushes and wholesale prices on all airbrushing products and special effects supplies. The store is open during class hours, so that students may purchase supplies when needed.

Makeup Studio

The studio offers a full menu of makeup services. Whether a client wants to learn what looks best with a private lesson, or wants to look amazing for a special event, our team of professional makeup artists share their talents and make it happen.

Each artist working in the makeup studio has been selected for their outstanding technical & artistic skills. They are all graduates of our Multi-Media Production Makeup Artistry program & are skilled in techniques for film, TV, runway, video, bridal, print work, airbrushing and custom blending. They are all passionate and talented artisans dedicated to their art. Many students get their first real-world experience as a makeup artist assisting with a wedding or special event in the studio.

Classrooms

Our classrooms are spacious, mirrored environments designed to enable students to work at maximum efficiency. . Full spectrum lighting is necessary for color matching skin tones and product selection. Classrooms are equipped with all the necessary makeup tools, a full wardrobe for photo shoots, and hairstyling mannequins and other styling accessories for each student . Audio-visual equipment permits teachers to view and critique students' work, as well as show a wide variety of makeup on print or film. Internet access allows students to watch the current fashion shows or to study the designer's collections in detail. The Film classes can research different periods in planning character makeup.

Our Photo Studio

To obtain industry bookings, a makeup artist must present a professional portfolio during an interview with an agency, potential client, or other decision maker. At Cosmix, you will collaborate with our staff photographer to produce an array of media looks. Our fully equipped photography studio ensures professional quality portfolio pictures and video. High Definition Monitors allow students to see their makeup through the “eye of the camera” and make any adjustments in the makeup, hair, wardrobe or lighting before the start of the shoot.

The Resource Library

The resource library contains books, tapes and DVDs on subjects ranging from fashion styling to making monster heads. Library hours are 9am – 5:30 pm MWF and 9am – 9:30 pm on T/Th.

The Administrative Offices

The administrative offices are conveniently located at the school and offer student and graduate services including: class instruction support, financial aid, preparation of business or comp cards, resumes, and job placement.
